Every week on Marvel’s Hero Project — streaming exclusively on Disney+ — you will meet a new young hero making a difference in their communities and all over the world! The international comic book brand feature Chicago’s own Jahkil Jackson, the founder of Project I am.
Project I Am was created when Jahkil Naeem Jackson was 8 years old. Jahkil, now 12, has a heartfelt desire to help those in need. After helping his aunt distribute food to the Chicago homeless, he knew that he wanted to do more to make a difference.
It quickly became Jahkil’s mission to build awareness of homelessness and to help the homeless population by offering them what he calls “Blessing Bags,” a giveaway filled with wipes, socks, deodorant, hand sanitizer, granola bars, toothbrushes, toothpaste, bottled water, and more.
As he sets new goals to reach even more people who could use his support, Jahkil never strays from his original goal – to show people, no matter their situation, that they deserve kindness and dignity. That’s what makes Jahkil a true Marvel Super Hero.
