Tory Lanez and Cassidy’s Back-to-Back Diss Tracks, Who Had More Heat?

Tory Lanez and Cassidy’s Back-to-Back Diss Tracks, Who Had More Heat?

During Tory Lanez’s freestyle with Funkmaster Flex on Hot 97 a couple weeks ago in which he made many references to the shooting incident between him and Megan Thee Stallion, fans also noted him trying to slyly slip in punchlines and bars from Philadelphia rapper Cassidy and his classic hit “I’m a Hustla.” Tony argued that he was simply paying respects and homage to one of his favorite rappers, yet Cassidy wasn’t having it. Without giving proper credit, Cassidy saw Tory’s fans as accepting his bars on his freestyle as his own. In an Instagram video, Cassidy responded to Tory’s move, “I feel disrespected that he feel like just because he [an] artist with some songs out, that him rappin’ to my beat is like, I should feel privileged […] Like I should feel like he doin’ something for me, like I should feel grateful. Fuck outta here,” said Cassidy. “N***as been rappin’ to my beats. I been doin’ this shit way before you came around. I don’t give a fuck about you rappin’ to my beat… Pay homage for real, n***a. Pay homage for real.”

Cassidy responded with a diss track aimed at Tory titled “Perjury,” calling out the controversial rapper for stealing flow and lyrics from Cassidy, while also poking fun at Lanez’s Canadian origin with lines like, ““Canada got free healthcare you gonna need some / Its stolen bars in all the records that he done / None of his shit is original, shit pitiful / I was selling records before the game went digital.”

Now, Tory has fired back, with “When Its Dark (E-NFT) 8-10-21′ Freestyle” a diss aimed at Cassidy over A$AP Rocky’s “Ghetto Symphony” track. Tory goes to flame Cassidy with lines like, “Old n***as talkin’, I ain’t hearin’ em, I put fear in ’em / I leave Cas’ body in that casket his career is in / My prime to your prime, dawg, it’s no comparison / What you gon’ compare? Some SMACK DVD appearances?” and “Ding, ding, ding, 15 minutes of fame is up / Was in them hotels with R. Kelly, we should flame you up.”

As of now, we’ve yet to hear a response from Cassidy, but Twitter is surely in an uproar after this beef. Which rapper do you think had the harder freestyle diss?
