Author and philanthropist Lashawnda Woodard wrote 7220 as a tribute to the city’s South Side where she grew up. The memoir captures her life story, overcoming challenges and maintaining hope while raising her children. Her son, rapper Lil Durk, has also titled his seventh studio album with the same name.
