ABDUCTED WOMAN FOUND ABUSED, CHAINED IN VACANT CHICAGO HOME

Abducted woman found abused, chained in vacant West Pullman home

A 36-year-old woman was found inside an abandoned property in the 11900 block of South Eggleston on Saturday afternoon.

D-Ice from the Southside heard a woman screaming/banging and he immediately contacted authorities. 

Authorities say they freed the woman from an upstairs bedroom where she was handcuffed and chained . They later took her to an area hospital. Police are investigating the crime as a sexual assault and a kidnapping.

Evidence technicians recovered chain, religious-style candles, and other materials from inside home. Police was seen with a set of bolt cutters when approaching near the property.

The woman was released from an area hospital on Sunday morning, and the search continues for the person who kept her captive.
