BHM SERIES – The Present & Future Black History of Chicago: People To Know, Places To Go, and Things To See
It takes true strength to admit when you need help. The great thing about living in your truth is that you don’t have to walk that path alone. The Healing Chi is a nonprofit organization powered to changing the narrative and normalizing the wellness of black men. Men often have a difficult time being vulnerable and accepting that it’s okay to feel what is felt no matter the circumstance. Andrew Smith and Tristian Lewis recognized the problem for what it is and created a solution for it in the midst of the chaotic 2020 global pandemic. These men made it their mission to create a safe space for men to deal with the traumas that create blockages of their personal growth and development into the men that they know they can be.
Within this organization they made a collective effort to change the narrative of healing and vulnerability among Black and Brown men in the city of Chicago. Their determination to learn new practices by serving the community has given them the unique opportunity to change the lives of many men that are suffering in silence.
So, if you are a man in the city of Chicago and would like to heal your mind, body, and soul. Visit their website and see how you can be the change you wish to see. https://www.thehealingchi.com/
