BHM SERIES – The Present & Future Black History of Chicago: People To Know, Places To Go, and Things To See

My Block My Hood My City is a social impact organization set to inspire youth, empower communities and build a better world one block at a time. They provide opportunities to youth by giving them resources to help get outside of their comfort zone to experience different communities, culture and cuisine. In addition to that, the organization helps bring awareness to career development and offers scholarships to mentees who regularly check in with their mentors with every intention to better their future. My Block My Hood My City was created by Jahmal Cole, making sure that the program is geared to teens and a network of volunteer initiatives that serve Chicago communities no matter the season. Youth Led Community walks, senior food delivery and Snow removal are just a few services My Block My Hood My City provides for the community.
