HBCU STUDENT, RAJAH CARUTH, IS NASCAR’S YOUNGEST BLACK DRIVER

INTRODUCING RAJAH CARUTH:NASCAR’S YOUNGEST AFRICAN AMERICAN HBCU DRIVER

There are only 4 African American Nascar drivers and the youngest one, Rajah Caruth is also a HBCU student at Winston-Salem State University located in North Carolina. On top of that, Spire Motorsports picked him to drive the No. 71 Chevrolet Silverado this season at the beginning of the month.

Rajah first got his love for racing after watching Disney’s Pixar Cars as a child. At 12 years old his parents surprised him with a trip to the NASCAR cup series. His family then fundraised a iRacing sim and once he turned 16 he raced virtually in the NASCAR ignite series catching the attention of the NASCAR drive for diversity program.
