A mother and daughter have lost their lives after a reckless driver ran them over as they crossed the street. According to TMZ, the two had just left a Drake concert when the tragedy occurred.
In the disturbing surveillance video of the accident, Laticha Bracero, 42, and her daughter Alyssa Cordova, 21, can be seen walking across the street a few blocks away from where they had just attended Drake’s concert in St. Louis, MO. As soon as they walked on the street, a Jeep Cherokee came speeding through a red light. It sideswiped a car then hit both Laticha and Alyssa. Unfortunately, Laticha died at the scene and Alyssa passed away at the hospital.
Two other teen girls and a 61-year-old woman were hospitalized from the crash as well.
Police say the driver, Monte Henderson, was going over 70 mph at the time of the collision. Henderson reportedly was running red lights for blocks before reaching Laticha and Alyssa. It’s unclear why he was driving so carelessly, but he was arrested and charged with two counts each of armed criminal action and involuntary manslaughter. He is currently out on a $20,000 bail.
