They have been trying to obtain important financial information, such as banking records and accounting details, from Henyard and her administration for over a year now. However, all their requests have reportedly been met with silence, which has left the Board deeply concerned about the Village’s financial situation.

The Board of Trustees says it is proposing to appoint Lightfoot as additional legislative counsel because she is both a former mayor and former federal prosecutor.
