When you started your music journey, where was your confidence level? My confidence was low because I didn’t know if I wanted to do music. I wanted to play basketball.
Did you come from a musical background? My mom and auntie used to sing, my grandfather used to listen to old Jazz, and my brother was a DJ working with Shawnna back in the day.
Did you ever want to give up in the process? All the time, but God never lets me stop.
What would you say is something you need to work on as an artist? Trusting myself with putting out more content and making my own beats!
What was the creative process behind making Fried? Simple, I was fried making the song! Lol
Do you have any visuals for your recent music (videos)? IHTB ( I Hate This Bitch) I did the video In Hammond, Indiana, at the venue I worked for. The Concept follows Trey Billz and me being harassed by two females who ain’t shit, basically!
What is a highlighting moment in your career that encouraged you to do music? When I realized by being yourself, you can create a following while working with dope artists worldwide, which is dope.
Do you write your own music? Yes and I have written for other artists.
Do you think having a ghostwriter is beneficial to artists? Yes, always.. Some people need material and some don’t.
Would you be interested in collaborating, and if so, who would it be with? To be honest, I would like to shock the world and make some music with Tink, Bump J, Veeze, Bossman Dlow, Sada Baby, Future, and Chris Brown.
Are there any specific Chicago artists you’d like to work with? I would work with Tink if she were to be real and see I had her back instead of letting people manipulate her. To be honest, I don’t care to work with many Chicago artists besides Kanye, Chief Keef, Durk, Bump J, King Louie, and anybody else who could have linked with me already, but people act weird.
What is your favorite thing about being an artist? The freedom to express myself.
