This year on July 18th, people around the world honor the life and impact of Nelson Mandela, the first democratically elected president of South Africa. Mandela devoted his life to advocating for harmony and fairness, motivating individuals worldwide to pursue parity and harmony.
Nelson Mandela International Day will see the Foundation adopt a global outlook this year. Instead of observing Mandela’s birthday, they will pay tribute to his legacy by actively participating in community initiatives. This reflects his 2009 appeal, emphasizing the importance of action over mere celebration and discussions.

Today, 17 trees will be planted at the Gordon Institute of Business Science, each symbolizing one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations. This act underscores the vital link between environmental conservation, social advancement, and economic prosperity.
