“From Prom To Paris” was written as a screenplay by Joe Freshgoods, directed by “Hidjiworld”.
“A Prom to Paris” follows a teenage romance through a cultural right of passage and intimate conversations about self-discovery and exploration.
The goal was to explore the idea of “prom colors” and how the colors they picked defined a time.
This screenplay was inspired by Joe Freshgoods personal experiences and passion for history and culture, the footwear for this collection pays homage to a specific time: 2005. It illustrates themes of love, travel, and growth alongside Black Prom’s historical genesis, the allure of escapism, and cultural relationships with color.
This story takes us from the west side of Chicago to Paris, France, with love.
