(Chicago, IL) Hundreds of teens gathered at True Star Media’s 4th annual From the “Go Fest.” This festival organized and curated by young people was a huge success. Presented by the Metropolitan Peace Initiatives and the Black McDonald’s Operation Association of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana, this free family friendly event was filled with lots of talented young people and many rising stars.
Featured at this year’s event, were several of the city’s hottest performers including members of Showtimes’ The Chi. Actress Genesis Denise Hale, who plays Maisha on the hit series, along with actress and artist Amari Noelle, who plays Britney, lit up the stage with their fiery performances.

One of the crowd’s favorite Star Bandz, the 16 year old rising hip hop star had the teens rocking along with Actor Papa Jay who played Young Adonis in the blockbuster Creed III. Hip Hop artist/actor/activist Vic Mensa closed the show out with a riveting performance.
A highlight of the evening was the moment when the Black McDonald’s Operators Association of Chicago and Northwest Indiana presented two alumni each with a $1500 stipend to help kickstart their future businesses.
