Chicago’s very own OG Stevo, hailing from Rogers Park, hosted a much-anticipated listening party for his latest album, “Sincerely Stevon,” on Friday, September 20, 2024, in Chicago, IL. In this deeply personal album, OG Stevo poured his heart out, delving into themes of depression, heartbreak, lost love, and the rollercoaster of life. Through his music, he invites his fans to connect with Stevon Odueze on a personal level, going beyond the artist to reveal the man behind the music.
We were warmly welcomed at the entrance to the event. The venue was adorned with sleek black furniture, inviting couches, and Stevo’s album cover displayed on easels. People were mingling, laughing, and chatting, all while dancing to the tunes spun by the incredible DJ Louie V, who kept the energy high with some classic Stevo tracks in the background. It was an electrifying atmosphere that had everyone pumped up!
We enjoyed all tequila inspired drinks named “Sincerely Stevon”, “The Hood Romeo”, and “Meet Me Downtown” because the man of the hour “don’t do dark sh*t” as stated on the menu. They were absolutely amazing 10/10. The “Meet Me Downtown” was a personal favorite. ✨
The event was star-studded with guests such as NBA player Talen Horton Tucker, Y.K. Supe, KB Mike, Lil Blessin, and many other personalities, making the night truly unforgettable.
The evening ended with Og Stevo hosting a Q&A session with Pretty Riot about the creation of the album, highlighting that he had previously only released singles. This album was a result of his fans’ demand, and he certainly delivered! Throughout the Q&A, we delved deeper into the album, gaining valuable insight into “Sincerely Stevon.”
