DELTA AIRLINES PLANE FLIPS OVER WHILE LANDING IN TORONTO

A Delta flight crashed while landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday and the plane was seen upside-down on the snow-covered ground.

According to the NY Post, the Delta flight was flying from Minneapolis, MN to Toronto, Canada when it crashed at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport. The details of the incident have not yet been revealed, but photos from the scene show the commercial jet lying upside down on the snow-filled runway.

As of right now, all the passengers and crew members have been accounted for, and only 8 people have reportedly been injured. One of the victims had “critical but non-life threatening injuries” and the other seven people suffered moderate to mild injuries, police said, according to ABC News.

What caused the plane to flip and catch fire was not immediately clear but the investigation is already underway, sources told ABC News. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada will lead the investigation, the FAA said.

This is the first major incident involving a commercial airline since the tragic D.C. plane crash that claimed the lives of 64 people on January 29.  This also comes just hours after news broke that Pres. Trump fired hundreds of people in the FAA including landing and navigational aid.

The Association of Flight Attendants union confirmed reports in a post on X that there were “no fatalities” in the incident.
