Charles Dion McDowell, better known as “Wide Neck” due to his viral mugshot in 2018, has been apprehended in Georgia on several felony accusations, including reportedly sending explicit materials to minors.
As reported by TMZ, a 37-year-old individual was arrested on February 19 by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. McDowell is facing serious charges, including the non-consensual distribution of nude videos or photos, the electronic sharing of explicit content with minors, and making harassing phone calls.
Authorities claim that he allegedly sent sexually explicit videos of a woman—without her consent—to her 13-year-old son, 16-year-old daughter, mother, and another individual multiple times via cell phone and laptop. He is currently being held without bond.
McDowell gained internet fame in 2018 when his mugshot showing a large neck gained widespread attention online. He accepted the spotlight and took advantage of his fame by starting a rap career under the aliases ‘DBD Wayne’ and ‘Wide Neck.’ He also worked on the hit song Neckst Up with fellow internet figure Daddy Long Neck.
