CHICAGO WAIVING PENALTIES FOR DRIVERS DURING THE WHOLE MONTH OF APRIL

No, this is not an April Fools joke. Chicago officials have announced that April will be City Sticker Amnesty Month.

City Clerk Anna Valencia has announced the return of the Amnesty Month program, allowing vehicle owners to purchase their Chicago City Sticker without late fees and back charges during the whole month of April.

According to CBS News, drivers can only take advantage of the amnesty program at the City Clerk locations and the Chicago Department of Finance locations but not at Currency Exchange locations.

City Clerk Locations:

1. City Hall, 121 N. LaSalle St.
2. North Side Office: 5430 W. Gale St.
3. South Side Office: 5674 S. Archer Ave.

Chicago Department of Finance locations:

1. Southwest Payment Center: 4770 S. Kedzie Ave.
2. Northwest Payment Center: 4445 N. Pulaski Ave.
3. Southeast Payment Center: 2006 E. 95th St.
4. Central Payment Center: 400 W. Superior St.
