ENGAGED COUPLE DIES IN SEPARATE CRASHES HOURS APART IN LOUISIANA

A Louisiana community is mourning the tragic loss of Alexus Lee, 25, and her fiancé John “JR” Collins, 35, who died in separate car crashes just hours apart on May 16th.

According to WAFB News, Alexus, a teacher and recent graduate, died around 2 a.m. after her SUV overturned on Plank Road in Zachary. Just under two hours later, JR was killed in a separate crash while driving to the scene of her accident. His car struck a tree, and he was ejected from the vehicle.

The couple, who shared a 4-year-old son and had plans to marry in 2026, had just purchased a home together. Family members are now rallying to raise Gabriel with love and support.
