On December 28, 2024, 28-year-old Cameron Dylan McDougall from Toronto caused chaos at Miami International Airport. After an earlier in-flight disturbance forced his plane to return, McDougall randomly attacked multiple people at the airport — including two TSA agents, one of whom he repeatedly punched in the face.

Bystanders restrained him until police arrived. Though not suspected of alcohol use, it’s unclear if drugs were involved.
McDougall pleaded guilty to two federal assault charges on May 19, 2025. He faces up to one year in jail per count, with sentencing set for May 30. He also faces state felony battery charges, with a court date on June 2.
