MAN ARRESTED AFTER ‘TERROR ATTACK’ IN BOULDER, COLORADO

What was supposed to be a peaceful Sunday afternoon in Boulder, Colorado, took a terrifying turn when a man, now identified as Mohamad Soliman, reportedly threw Molotov cocktails at a pro-Israeli protest group.

The incident happened during a weekly demonstration hosted by Run For Their Lives, a group that gathers to raise awareness for Israeli hostages held in Gaza. Witnesses say Soliman approached the crowd around 1:30 p.m. near the Boulder County Courthouse, shouting phrases like “End Zionists” and “They are killers! How many children you killed?” before hurling the homemade explosives at protestors.

At least five people were injured in the attack, including one woman who suffered serious burns and had to be rushed to the hospital for emergency care. Thankfully, police were quick to respond and took Soliman into custody without further incident. He was treated for minor injuries before being booked (New York Post).

Boulder Police Chief Steve Redfearn confirmed the nature of the attack but said it’s still too early to draw any firm conclusions about Soliman’s motive. However, the FBI—now under Director Kash Patel—is calling it a “targeted terror attack” and is assisting in the investigation (iHeart).

This all went down the day before Shavuot, a major Jewish holiday, raising even more concern around safety in Jewish communities nationwide. Colorado Governor Jared Polis condemned the violence, calling it a “hate-filled act” and promised that both state and federal resources are being used to protect the public (Hindustan Times).

The incident follows another violent act just days earlier in Washington, D.C., where a shooter opened fire at the Capital Jewish Museum, killing two. With tensions rising, local officials and law enforcement are urging communities to stay alert and report anything suspicious.
