If you’re looking for good vibes, community love, and a little bit of everything from yoga to live music — mark your calendar for Saturday, June 8th. The Let’s Grow Together Festival is coming back for its 6th annual celebration at Proviso East High School (807 S 1st Ave, Maywood, IL) from 11AM to 5PM, and it’s set to be the biggest one yet.
This free, family-friendly event is all about promoting holistic wellness, self-growth, and celebrating the power of community — all while having a great time.
The festival is hosted by A Greater Good Foundation (AGGF) and YourPassion1st, two Chicago-based organizations doing amazing work for youth and families. Over the years, they’ve turned this into the largest wellness festival in Chicago’s West Side communities — and it shows.
Think:
- Yoga, fitness, guided meditation
- The Claim Your Crown team competition (tug of war, hula hoops, football toss — all the field day favorites)
- Live performances from Kota The Friend, Zion Ali, Joel Q, and AMB Money
- Delicious food vendors, local businesses, giveaways and more
One of the most fun parts of the day is the King of The West competition — where folks go head-to-head in classic field games for the ultimate bragging rights. And if you’re lucky enough to win Claim Your Proviso Crown, you’ll walk away with a pretty sweet prize: two roundtrip tickets from Southwest Airlines
This year’s festival also includes a “Conversation Corner” presented by Grow Exponential Advisory. It’s a space to chop it up about important topics like mental health, nutrition, healthcare, and personal growth.

All proceeds from the event go right back into the community — supporting AGGF’s mentorship and leadership programs that are changing young lives across the city.
Since 2016, AGGF has reached over 745 students in 18 communities, offering programs rooted in four pillars:

- Wellness
These aren’t just afterschool programs — we’re talking real impact. Students have gone on trips to Colombia, attended NBA All-Star Weekend, and been exposed to life-changing experiences that inspire them to dream bigger.
