The John Walt Foundation is proud to announce that our 2025 Young Artist Scholarship application is officially open!
We’re awarding $1,000 scholarships for up to five young artists, ages 14–23, who live in Chicago or the Chicagoland area and are passionate about expressing themselves through music, poetry, dance, visual art, performance, or any other creative medium.

But it’s more than money — scholarship recipients will gain access to mentorship, workshops, and development and performance opportunities through the JWF creative community around Chicago.
