CHICAGO, IL — The city is gearing up for one of the most dynamic financial and cultural weekends of the summer. The 3rd Annual Maconomics Wealth Summit, created by Chicago native and financial educator Ross Mac, returns July 18–20 — and this year, it’s bigger than ever.
Over the past two years, the summit has drawn high-profile talent like Earn Your Leisure, Ryan Leslie, Ian Dunlap, members of the Chicago Bears and Bulls, and more. This year? Expect an all-star lineup that includes Korporate, Jemal the King, The Budgetnista, Sekou Kaalund (SVP, US Bank), and Cortez Smith of Showtime’s The Chi.
With the theme “Secure The Bag, Scale The Vision,” the summit blends entertainment and education across three days of panels, workshops, networking events, and community impact. The weekend kicks off with a Welcome Dinner on Friday, followed by Saturday’s mainstage Summit + All White Yacht Party, and wraps with Sunday’s Celebrity Basketball Classic and Backpack Giveaway.
Beyond the vibes, this is about legacy. The Maconomics Summit is rooted in closing the racial wealth gap and equipping Black communities with tools to build generational prosperity — especially in a city where, according to the Color of Wealth Project, nearly 50% of Black workers are in low-wage industries.
