Authorities have identified the man behind Saturday’s mass stabbing at a Walmart in Traverse City, Michigan, as 42-year-old Bradford James Gille of Cheboygan.

Gille allegedly stabbed 11 people at random inside the store just before 4:45 p.m., including a Walmart employee. Several shoppers bravely intervened, detaining him in the parking lot until deputies arrived within minutes.
All victims were taken to Munson Medical Center—six were initially critical, but all are now expected to recover.

Gille is facing 11 counts of assault with intent to murder and one count of terrorism. Investigators say the attack appears random, with no clear motive yet determined.
