Chicago rapper Femdot took his talent behind bars last week, performing and connecting with men incarcerated at Cook County Jail.
The visit was part of a program run by the Cook County Department of Corrections that brings artists into Division 11 to perform and build with inmates. The goal? To create meaningful exchanges, spark inspiration, and bring a little light into a tough environment.
Singer Sydny August recommended Femdot for the opportunity — and he pulled up ready. Not only did he perform, but he also sat down for a Q&A, giving the men a chance to talk about music, life, and what it takes to pursue your passion no matter the odds.
