Police say the gunfire erupted around 3:27 p.m. on the 700 block of East 43rd Street, just steps from the Dr. Martin Luther King Community Center. Victims included a woman in her 60s who remains in serious condition; the others are expected to recover.

Community activist Ja’Mal Green has announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. “Enough is enough,” Green said, calling for action to protect both children and seniors in the neighborhood.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward.
