A viral video from Lincoln High School in California shows a student aggressively arguing with a teacher in a gym full of other students. As the situation escalated, the student appeared to slap the teacher and then start to throw punches.
Within seconds, another school staff member stepped in, grabbed the student, and slammed him to the ground in a takedown that left social media stunned.
According to TMZ, the officer restrained the student, who was then placed under arrest and later booked into juvenile hall.
Some are praising the officer for protecting staff and maintaining order. Others are calling the slam excessive and demanding an investigation.
The school district has confirmed the incident is under review.
