SIMEON HIGH SCHOOL LAUNCHES FIRST-EVER LEGACY BASKETBALL CAMP

This summer, Simeon High School in Chicago hosted its first-ever Legacy Basketball Camp, welcoming 100 kids to an unforgettable experience. The camp brought together Simeon’s current basketball staff and alumni, with appearances from some of the school’s most iconic names — including Derrick Rose, Jabari Parker, and Talen Horton-Tucker.

Head Basketball Coach Tim Flowers shared what the camp is truly about, saying:

“Your legacy should be to touch the people you come in contact with, to make a space better. I will never forget where I come from. The environments you’re in as a kid help mold you… Simeon is a special place, it’s the people in the place. I want a legacy like those before me, one where winning is a byproduct of the young men we raise. It’s a spirit here that helps a boy become a man, and I am so blessed to lead here. God is the realest!”

With its emphasis on mentorship, development, and community, Simeon’s Legacy Basketball Camp is already setting the tone for a tradition that will inspire the next generation of Chicago hoopers.
