Chaos broke out at the newly opened Fatburger & Buffalo’s Express on Chicago’s South Side after a group of teenagers attacked an employee inside the restaurant.
The incident, captured on video and shared by local outlets like Chicago Crime Chasers, shows multiple teens swarming the worker in a violent altercation. In the midst of the attack, a customer reportedly stepped in to defend the employee—allegedly armed, according to social media captions describing the scene.
The restaurant, located near 87th and Maryland, had only recently opened its doors, aiming to bring a popular fast-food chain experience to the neighborhood. Instead, it became the site of a frightening confrontation that has left the community rattled.
As of now, details remain limited. It’s unclear whether the employee sustained serious injuries or if the teens involved have been identified or taken into custody. Police have not yet released an official statement on the incident.
