Elton Odell, Jr., a janitor at a Chicago Public School, reports that he was assaulted inside the West Side elementary school where he was employed. He is now seeking to pursue legal action against the teacher’s assistant who physically attacked him.
A disagreement escalated into physical violence with a teacher’s assistant at John M. Smyth Elementary School after the assistant allegedly disrespected the custodian regarding potential dangers of walking on slippery floors marked with caution signs.

In the footage, the teacher’s assistant can be seen ascending the stairs and taking off his backpack before the confrontation begins. Chicago Police are looking into the matter, and the individual implicated has yet to be charged.
