Chicago rapper THF Bay Zoo, a well-known affiliate of Lil Durk’s Only The Family (OTF) collective, was reportedly shot twice early Saturday morning in the city’s South Lawndale neighborhood, according to scanner reports.
Police responded to a shooting near 3130 S. St. Louis Ave, close to La Villita Park, where officers discovered a chaotic scene — 20 rifle casings, 19 9mm casings, and five vehicles struck by gunfire.
Three men were hit during the shooting:
A 35-year-old man, identified by witnesses as THF Bay Zoo, was shot in the abdomen and torso. A 42-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the arm, back, and lower body. A 39-year-old man was shot in the ankle.
All three victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment. Reports indicate Zoo is in stable condition, though no official statement has been released by his team or OTF members as of yet.
THF Bay Zoo — real name Devonshe Collier — has long been a fixture in the Chicago drill scene. Known for his gritty lyrics and association with the THF (Tay Town Hustlers Family) set, Zoo has collaborated with OTF artists and appeared in several viral street anthems.
Authorities are currently investigating the shooting. No suspects are in custody at this time.
