LIONSGATE UNVEILS FIRST TRAILER FOR MICHAEL JACKSON BIOPIC STARRING JAAFAR JACKSON

Fans are finally getting their first look at Michael — the upcoming biopic about the life of the legendary Michael Jackson. Lionsgate released the teaser trailer today (Nov. 6), giving the world a glimpse of Jaafar Jackson, Michael’s nephew, stepping into one of the most iconic roles in music history.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, Emancipation) and written by John Logan (Gladiator, Skyfall), Michael promises to explore both the genius and the man behind the music. The film is set to hit theaters and IMAX on April 24, 2026, and it’s already shaping up to be one of next year’s most talked-about releases.

It’s a striking visual preview that reminds fans just how unmatched MJ’s energy, artistry, and cultural impact really were.

The cast also includes Colman Domingo as Joe Jackson, Nia Long as Katherine Jackson, and Miles Teller as Michael’s longtime attorney, John Branca.
