Over the past five years, more than 20,000 people have gathered in the heart of Chicago’s South Side for the Englewood Music Fest — a celebration of music, culture, and community pride that continues to grow in impact and love.

This year’s milestone 5th Annual Englewood Music Fest was no different, bringing out a powerful lineup and a crowd full of good energy. The day kicked off with gospel powerhouse Le’Andria Johnson, followed by R&B legends Next, who had everyone singing along to their timeless hit “Wifey.” Chicago’s own Nathan Palmer hit the stage too — not only performing but also designing all of the festival’s artwork and visuals.
DJ Caleeb, backed by a live band, kept things moving with a high-energy Chicago set, bringing out Glizzy Glow and Michael Epps (aka Jake from The Chi). Then SeanMac and Joe Global had the crowd locked in with their live sing-along session, while Chicago comedian Korporate added laughs and hometown flavor.

Lil Boosie closed out the night with an electric headlining set — complete with fireworks and a live viewing of the Canelo vs. Beckford fight, making it a festival finale to remember.
But what stood out most wasn’t just the music — it was the peace. Across five years and 20,000 attendees, the festival has maintained a track record of zero violence. This year continued that streak, proving that love and unity can thrive in Englewood.

The festival drew appearances from Mayor Brandon Johnson, Judge Mathis, Larry Hoover Jr., and Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, alongside more than 50 local vendors — from food and retail to community services. One lucky Englewood resident even drove away in a brand-new car thanks to a giveaway sponsored by E&R Towing.
The vision for the festival comes from Alderwoman Stephanie Coleman (16th Ward), who teamed up with @nufacechicago (Rita) and the @ttpmg production crew to make it happen. Coleman summed up the energy perfectly, saying:
