PENNSYLVANIA MAN ARRESTED AFTER MORE THAN 100 HUMAN SKELETONS FOUND IN HIS HOME

A Pennsylvania man is facing nearly 500 charges after authorities discovered more than 100 human skeletons in his home and storage unit, according to CBS News.

Jonathan Gerlach, 34, of Ephrata, was arrested on January 6, 2026, following a months-long investigation into grave robberies. Police say he stole remains from Mount Moriah Cemetery, bringing them home where investigators found bones stored on shelves, in boxes, and even mummified parts, including infant remains.

Gerlach faces charges including abuse of a corpse, burglary, and desecration of public monuments, and is being held on $1 million bail. Authorities are working to identify the victims and notify families, while investigating whether any remains were sold online.
