Bovino has been relieved of his duties as face of command in Minneapolis and is said to leave Tuesday; “white house border czar”, Tom Homan, to head to the city
According to several outlets, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Chief Gregory Bovino is departing Minneapolis imminently and returning to California’s El Centro sector, where he served as the chief agent.
This follows as tensions rise in Minneapolis and nationwide after the murdered of 37-year-old ICU Nurse Alex Pretti, an emergency protest arising downtown Chicago this past Sunday directly following the murder.
Bovino was in charge of where the“Operation Midway Blitz” Trump administration launched a massive crackdown in Chicago to arrest and deport thousands of people, bypassing local “sanctuary” laws.
Using intense, military-style raids and checkpoints, they targeted both criminals and those with minor visa issues.
The leadership shake-up in Minneapolis intensified today as news of Bovino’s departure followed closely on the heels of “White House border czar”, Tom Homan’s near deployment to the region.
In the official White House Instagram, President Donald Trump also mentions that him and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz had a call “to work together with respect to Minnesota” and states the call went well.
As unrest grows nationwide over the death of Alex Pretti and ICE activity in Minneapolis, WhatsTheWordTv is committed to providing on-the-ground coverage and real-time updates as this story develops.
