A stretch of I-75 in Oakland County, Michigan, became the scene of an unexpected act of kindness when a Good Samaritan, Rack Newpeg, stopped to help a stranded motorist who had become stuck in a ditch.
The incident happened along the busy interstate as the driver and her daughter waited for a tow truck. While pulled over, the vehicle slid into a ditch along I-75, leaving the motorist in a stressful and potentially dangerous situation as traffic continued to pass by.
That’s when a passerby noticed the stranded vehicle and chose to stop. Newpag checked on both ladies to make sure that they were safe and pulled their car out the ditch.
Moments like this highlight the power of community, even along Michigan’s busiest highways. In Oakland County, one driver’s decision to stop and help turned a frustrating roadside emergency into a reminder that kindness still shows up when it matters most.
