In the audio-only clip, Aspen is heard questioning how her dog escaped its cage, and then yelping sounds are heard off-camera. The clip quickly spread online, prompting widespread outrage and calls for action.
Following the backlash, Twitch banned Aspen Kartier’s account, though the platform has not shared details about the length or terms of the ban.
Aspen has since then responded to the backlash, saying that it’s nothing wrong with the dog and that it over exaggerates, which has continued to fuel criticism and concern from viewers.
Aspen made sure to let fans know that just because ‘Twitch’ banned her account until March, doesn’t mean she’s going to stop streaming and says that she’ll move to YouTube and Kick.
