FLORIDA COUPLE SUES FERTILITY CLINIC AFTER EMBRYO MIX-UP

A Florida couple is suing IVF Life, Inc. (Fertility Center of Orlando) and Dr. Milton McNichol after discovering the baby they carried is not genetically theirs. According to Fox News, the mix-up occurred after the couple created three embryos with their own egg and sperm; one was implanted in March 2025, resulting in the birth of a baby girl in December 2025.

Suspicious physical traits led the parents to request a genetic test, which confirmed the child is unrelated to either parent. The lawsuit seeks full disclosure, genetic testing of other patients, and answers about the couple’s own embryos.

The case raises serious ethical and procedural questions for IVF clinics nationwide, highlighting the need for strict safeguards in fertility treatments. While the couple loves their daughter, they feel a moral and legal obligation to identify her biological parents and locate their own child if implanted elsewhere.
