Detroit’s next generation of creators is getting a boost. Big Sean and Usher are investing $1 million in a new youth innovation hub at the Michigan Central Boys & Girls Club, according to Fox Local.
The 15,000-square-foot Detroit Entertainment Innovation Incubator features virtual production studios, podcast rooms, fashion and storytelling labs, and a creators’ lounge, giving teens and young adults hands-on experience in tech, media, and creative industries.
Targeting youth ages 14–24, the hub offers mentorship, career training, and entrepreneurial opportunities. Both Big Sean and Usher are alumni of the Boys & Girls Clubs, and their investment aims to open doors to high-growth careers while embedding youth into Detroit’s innovation ecosystem.
Set to open in February 2026, the hub promises to equip Detroit youth with the tools, skills, and mentorship they need to turn ideas into impact.
