CALIFORNIA DAYCARE WORKER FIRED AFTER THROWING SHOE AT BLACK TODDLER

An Inglewood mother is demanding answers and accountability after a daycare worker threw a shoe at her young daughter, striking her in the head while the child was under the center’s care.

According to the mother, the incident occurred at Destiny Development Center in Inglewood, California. She says her daughter, Beautyful, later told her that a staff member by the name of Ms. Emily, became frustrated and threw a shoe, hitting her in the head. The mother claims the daycare initially told her the child had fallen from her cot, but later video footage and additional information raised serious concerns about what actually happened.

The aunt of the toddler posted on IG, saying that the daycare failed to immediately report the incident and did not fire staff members who were aware of what happened but stayed silent. Surveillance images circulating on social media appear to show a worker throwing an object in the direction of a child, fueling public outrage and calls for justice.

The incident has since gone viral, with many demanding an investigation, accountability for those involved, and stronger protections for children in daycare settings. The mother claims that after an investigation, Ms. Emily was terminated, but the two other teachers who witnessed the incident and failed to report it were only suspended without pay and eventually allowed to continue working.

The mother says she is speaking out not only for her child, but to prevent similar incidents from happening to other families.
