A 19-year-old man was fatally shot in the head by a friend following a heated argument over food, according to police in Fort Worth, Texas.
According to CBS News, the deadly incident happened on January 28 at an apartment complex near the 9500 block of Jeremiah Drive. Investigators say Jarvis Davis with his girlfriend and friends. With his girlfriend lying on his lap, Davis was eating his food from Wingstop. Another man in the group, who had finished his meal, asked Davis for some of his french fries, to which he declined, leading to an argument.
Officers were called to the scene around 6:30 p.m. and found Davis suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. First responders attempted lifesaving measures before transporting him to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries .
Police say the suspect, who was known to the victim and lived in the same apartment complex, fled the scene following the shooting. Authorities have not publicly released the names of those involved, and the suspect had not been arrested at the time of reporting.
