RICK OWEN’S ANNOUNCES CHICAGO FLAGSHIP STORE OPENING FOR 2026

FULTON MARKET’S FIRST ULTRA-LUXURY TENANT

Chicago is about to get even more stylish and a little darker in the best way.

Iconic fashion designer, Rick Owens is bringing his avant-garde, architectural style to Chicago with a flagship store set to open in Fulton Market in 2026. The space spans approximately 2,832 square feet in a historic building that once housed the original Schwinn bicycle factory, giving the new store deep roots in one of the city’s most vibrant districts.

Fulton Market has transformed from a former meatpacking area into a thriving retail and cultural hub. In the neighborhood you’ll find major design and lifestyle destinations including the nearly 70,000-square-foot MillerKnoll design flagship showcasing Herman Miller, Knoll, and more as well as notable eateries and creative workspaces.

The district also features luxury boutiques, independent fashion stores like SVRN, and a mix of restaurants and galleries that draw visitors from across the city and beyond. With Google, McDonald’s, and other corporate headquarters nearby, Fulton Market blends high fashion, design innovation, and urban energy in one of Chicago’s most exciting corners.

For Midwest fashion lovers who have long traveled to New York or Los Angeles for a full Rick Owens experience, this flagship feels like a long-awaited homecoming. The store promises to fit seamlessly into Chicago’s bold architectural and creative landscape. A place where fashion, design, and the city’s gritty elegance intersect.
