A Bronx woman identified as 71-year-old Cora Robinson says she is living in fear for her health after her apartment became overrun with rats, turning her home into what she describes as an unsafe living environment.
Robinson says the infestation has spread throughout multiple areas of her apartment, including her kitchen and living space. She reported seeing rats running across floors, climbing near appliances, and leaving droppings behind. The ongoing problem has made it difficult for her to sleep, cook, or feel comfortable inside her own home.
According to ABC 7 New York, Robinson has made repeated complaints to her landlord and contacted city housing officials in hopes of getting the issue resolved. Despite those efforts, she says the situation continued to worsen over time.
