Zion officially kicked off his Back at Home Tour at Shawn Michelle’s Homemade Ice Cream in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood. The opening event combined live performances, family-friendly energy and support for a neighborhood business.

Special guest Juby DaGod warmed up the crowd with a 15-minute opening performance before Zion took the stage alongside his drummer, Ray Ray. Guests were also offered nearly half off a scoop of homemade ice cream when they mentioned Zion Ali’s name.

Depending on the location, featured guests may include singers, spoken-word artists, mental health coaches, therapists, yoga instructors, influencers, podcasters and other Chicago creatives and professionals.

Beyond the performances, the Back at Home Tour is rooted in Zion’s effort to create safe and welcoming spaces where residents can connect. The goal is to help Chicago families enjoy live entertainment, discover neighborhood businesses, learn about helpful resources and build stronger relationships within their communities.

By taking the music directly into Chicago neighborhoods, Zion Ali is showing how local artists can use their platforms to create more than a performance. The Back at Home Tour is also an opportunity to celebrate homegrown talent, support small businesses and give residents an experience built around music, community and empowerment.

Following the Bronzeville kickoff, the tour is scheduled to continue with additional stops throughout Chicago—each offering a new location, a new special guest and another reason for the community to come together.
