The spotlight is shining bright on Chicago’s South Side, as Leo High School’s all-boys choir has officially advanced to the finals of America’s Got Talent. The group of talented young men captured America’s hearts — and votes — with a powerful performance of Fall Out Boy’s hit “Centuries.”
When their name was called, the choir erupted in celebration, with one student simply saying, “I feel alive right now.” Their reaction mirrored the emotions of countless supporters back home who have been following their journey since their very first audition.
This season, the Leo choir has earned praise not only for their harmonies, but also for their energy, heart, and ability to command the stage. Earlier in the competition, they brought judge Simon Cowell to his feet with their electrifying rendition of Imagine Dragons’ “Believer” — a rare standing ovation from the famously tough critic.

Choir director Miss Hill has been guiding the group every step of the way, emphasizing not just performance but personal growth. She expressed how proud she is of the boys for their commitment, discipline, and willingness to give their all under the national spotlight.
The finals are set for Tuesday, September 23, with results announced the following night. If the Leo choir secures the top prize, the students plan to use their winnings to help fund future college tuition — a dream that resonates with their school’s long-standing commitment to preparing young men for success.
