Covenant House Illinois’ annual “SleepOut: Chicago” has collaborated with local artists to safely raise awareness of youth homelessness with three events in our city. With 75% of homeless youth being Black and being three times more likely to contract and die from Covid-19 than their white counterparts, it is our mission to raise awareness of disparities plaguing our city. These events will adhere to local guidelines to ensure the safety of all participants.

lessness with three events in our city.
To help raise money for these homeless youth, Vic Mensa and the SaveMoneySaveLife team will be hosting a sleep-out at “The Ave” on 47th St. This event will be live-streamed on our social media with the intent to raise money and awareness to the daily struggles of Chicago’s homeless youth. With 75% of Chicago’s homeless youth being Black and that demographic being three times more likely to contract and die from Covid-19 than their white counterparts—it is our mission to raise awareness of disparities plaguing our city. These events will adhere to local Covid-19 guidelines to ensure the safety of all participants.
