A high-speed police pursuit ended in an unusual fashion when a suspected DUI driver exited her vehicle and began dancing, authorities reported.
The chase began earlier this week after Los Angeles police attempted to stop the driver for traffic violations. During the pursuit, going through Koreatown and Hollywood, the suspect allegedly appeared impaired. She eventually stopped her car, stepped out, and performed a series of dance moves in the middle of a shopping center in the Westlake District.
For safety reasons, LAPD officers terminated the pursuit, and no injuries were reported. Police confirmed the woman is a suspected DUI driver and are reviewing the incident to determine appropriate charges.
The event quickly drew attention on social media, with videos of the suspect dancing during the chase circulating widely. Authorities reminded the public that vehicle pursuits remain dangerous and should never be imitated.
