Chicago’s own Gherbo was set to take the stage at halftime for ICE CUBE’s BIG 3 basketball tournament in Chicago, until the league issued the following statement below:
After booking G Herbo to perform at tomorrow’s BIG3 event at the UIC pavilion in Chicago, we were ordered by UIC to cancel his performance. Since we’ve been threatened with cancellation of the event, we have no choice but to comply. It is puzzling to us since G Herbo is an amazing act and also performed last weekend at Lollapalooza without incident or issue. Despite this, the BIG3 expects a great day of Fireball3 in Chicago and looks forward to amazing games.
