FAQ

Can I sign up online?

No. The QR code is only available inside the Boost Mobile store. Stop by any time during the sign-up window and scan it in person.

When can I scan the QR code?

For Session 1 at 7901 S Vincennes Ave: November 7 through November 21. For Session 2 at 120 E 35th St: from November 21, after Session 1 ends, through December 10.

Does signing up early guarantee I get played?

It secures your spot on the list, but you must be in the building on session day when your name is called. If you’re not there, you lose your slot and the next artist goes up.

What time should I get there on session day?

Arrive before the session starts and stay until your name is called. Names are called in sign-up order.

Can I leave and come back?

You can, but if your name is called and you’re not there, you lose your slot and the next artist goes up.

Does my song need to be clean?

Yes. Only clean or radio versions are played in the store.

What is a clean or radio version?

It’s the edit of your song you would hear on the radio. All profanity, slurs and explicit sexual, violent or drug lyrics are muted, bleeped, reversed or replaced. If your song has an explicit version, bring the edited one. If you only have the explicit version, make a clean edit before you pull up.

Are there contest rules?

How does voting work?

Kid Breeze picks the finalists from each session. They’re posted on this page, and the community votes for the winner.
