Meet Chicago’s “Soultress,” Saneit

Out West native and R&B Upcomer, Saneit,  has taken the city by storm with her strong, undeniable vocals. On and off the mic she is an entertainer in her own right with the makings of a superstar. Going through her catalog, she vividly displays growth and soul- two things that are well needed in this ever changing music industry.  

With consistency and diverse music, There’s no doubt that our girl Saneit will have her time in R&B, whether it’s with her vocals or her pen. Her debut album, Fantasy, has surpassed 500,000 streams and she has graced the stage with top acts such as Chicago’s own Jennifer Hudson & Megan Thee Stallion.

We had a chance to catch up with the “Prove Me Wrong” songstress. Get to know more about Saneit.

Hometown Neighborhood: Chicago, West Side  

I grew up listening to: Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill, Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton, Monica, Brandy

How did you get to your Buzz: I was active in talent shows around the city & attended a performing arts High School. I created a name for myself while attending Howard University and from that point I just never gave up on perfecting my craft.

My styles been compared to: Toni Braxton & Monica the most. 

What’s your most slept on song & why: Probably “Need You” & I think most people favorites are singles or the songs with visuals

My standout records to date have been: “It’s My Birthday” everybody loves the Birthday song. It’s somebody’s birthday every day so I guess it makes sense. 

Most people don’t know: I was drawing before I was singing. I was always going to be an artist in some kind of way. 

I’m going to be the next: RNB Sensation. If you don’t hear my vocals you’ll definitely see my pen
